Once upon a time, at a bustling Miami office there was a handsome NYC Boy who met a beautiful French Girl from a small-town in Guadeloupe.

It was her first day at work, on a bright July morning in 2015, Girl sits elegantly at the front desk, and greets Boy as he walks through the door. He wasted no time introducing himself and approaching her every chance he got. Determined to make her smile, he charmed her with his jokes. New to the country, Girl found comfort in his warm demeanor. Boy thought she was sweet; Girl thought he was hilarious and genuine.

Their first "unofficial date" was a work team event at Bayside and South Beach. Boy did not want the night to end, and they stayed talking for hours after everyone else was gone. Their first “official date” was at a dine-in theatre—an ideal place for two movie lovers. Now, that was a first, but the truth is the essence of their love story started as soon as the movie ended…that is when the best of their stories began. The more time Boy and Girl spent together the more their feelings continued to grow. At first, they tried to tread lightly since they work together. But emotions progressed as they met each other’s friends and family.

Girl realized she was in love after a three-week trip to France. Missing Boy, she knew their bond was undeniable. Girl recalls saying “I love you” to her phone while reading Boy’s texts. Upon her return, a month later, during a romantic dinner on the last evening of a Bahamas cruise, Boy confessed his love as they soaked up island views and warm breezes. As life promises, they have had their share of challenges to include career moves and long absences, but that only helped solidify their connection.

On their third anniversary, November 11, 2018, at Amelia Island, Boy proposed to Girl during a walk on the beach, secretly filming as he got down on one knee. Surprised, she said YES!

On May 10, 2019, they reinforced their union by way of an intimate civil marriage ceremony but postponed the wedding celebration due to COVID. Boy and Girl’s love story continues through their three healthy, vibrant kids: Thor, Nova, and Phoenix who have solidified their purpose and strengthened their love.
